Similarities

Compared to conventional rebounders, our rope ring trampolines clearly display a much higher level of elasticity. Because of this patented rope ring suspension, the swing movement is very flexible and the deceleration phase especially long. As, on trampolines, muscles are mainly engaged during deceleration into the rebounding mat, great results can be achieved by exercising on our devices. (As a comparison: on every exercise devise one learns to not to perform the exercises fast and fitfully, but slowly and smoothly, in order to obtain the best results.)

Everybody can train on the bellicon® as well as the Medi-Swing and they are also suitable for beginners. Children, the elderly, men and women all love these highly flexible mini trampolines and can use them for their own individual requirement and purpose. The difference between the bellicon® and Medi-Swing lies only in the different rebounding mats that are used.

The bellicon®: both highly elastic and dynamic

Thanks to its high quality mat which is made from a fabric, polypropylene, that was developed for garden trampolines, the bellicon® displays a very dynamic but gentle swing amplitude. Compared to the Medi-Swing, bouncing on the bellicon is a little livelier. This is what makes it our trampoline with the highest fun factor.

Due to the especially high resilience of the fabric, the bellicon® mat is suitable for people weighing up to 200 kg. The rebounding mat is very anti-slip and presently available in the following colors:  black-orange, black-pink or blue-orange.

The bellicon® premium

As far as the rebounding mat, the rope rings and the swing amplitude are concerned, the bellicon® premium is identical to the bellicon. When deciding for the stainless steel variation, not only the design aspect, but also the high quality of the frame and the sophisticated internal screw thread for the removable legs are important.

The frame is rust-proof and can therefore stand outside or in damp areas without problems. Added to this is the fact that due to its composition it is largely anti septic (stainless steel) and therefore suitable for clinical practices and hospitals.

The Medi-Swing

The Medi-Swing rebounding mat is made of a nylon fabric with PVC – coating which makes it a little stiffer. The swing is therefore less dynamic which makes exercising on it slightly gentler.  The fabric of the mat makes it suitable for those weighing up to 120 kg, but the mat’s surface is slightly less slip-proof than the bellicon because of the PVC – coating and can, depending on what is worn on the feet, cause a bit of noise.

As far as the design of the Medi-Swing mat is concerned, it is slightly larger than the bellicon and covers the rope rings until the frame, although the usable rebound area is about the same size. This mat is available in a strong blue or yellow color.

Swing and amplitude comparison

The Medi-Swing is the gentlest device with low swing frequency and gentle deceleration. The penetration depth of the mat is very deep and the strain on joints and discs minimal.

The bellicon, compared to the Medi-Swing, is characterizes by greater acceleration. On it, you swing energetically but it is still soft and flexible. Although the swing frequency is the same, you go deeper into the mat and this makes it very dynamic but still gentle and buoyant. Exercising on it is however more lively and demanding than on a Medi-Swing. The bellicon mat in itself is elastic and this makes the device so dynamic. Despite this, joints and spinal discs however are spared.

Due to the far more tightly sprung mat on conventional, steel spring trampolines, the brake path is much more abrupt.  The swing frequency is considerably higher, the penetration depth into the mat minimal and the strain on joints and discs higher. As the muscles in the first place work whilst decelerating into the mat, the effect you gain from training on these trampolines is clearly a lot less than on rope ring suspended trampolines. Especially the low priced variations in discount stores are of insufficient quality, the swing movement is not harmonious and could – as with jogging – lead to contra productive strains on joints and discs.

Conclusion

Basically, you can train and do exercises very efficiently on all our devices, whereby the bellicon variations have the better rebounding mat and are more lively, or energetic, than the Medi-Swing.
