SUBJECT SAFETY
Safety is very important at bellicon: we want to boost your health, not compromise it. This is why the following is included in delivery:
● Instruction manual with the most important suggestions and tips for training
● Instruction DVD with professional instruction from our bellicon therapists
● Anti slip caps made from high quality rubber for the six legs
Your bellicon will be delivered well packaged to your address per DHL or dispatch. Thus you will receive a high quality and safe product.
If required, the option exists for you to order further accessories that can add to your safety:
FRAME CUSHION
Contrary to other mini trampolines, the bellicon trampolines are not equipped with a border cushion. There are two reasons for this, the first one being that a frame cushion can present a risk as it can be quite easy to slip your feet under it and get stuck; the other reason is that we believe that an average 3 to 5 mm thick foam cushion – which is used as a protection cover for other trampolines – doesn’t really cushion the frame enough if a fall occurs, and therefore doesn’t offer sufficient protection.
If there are very small children using the bellicon and you have reservations about their safety, a really thick border cushion made from foam is optionally available. The cushion is always compatible with the diameter of the trampoline and very easy to attach to the frame with Velcro strips. We must point out that in order to avoid injury when getting stuck, the attachment strips will detach when a certain pressure is reached.
SUPPORT HANDLES
Swinging on the unstable surface of the bellicon or Medi-Swing really challenges our balance and all our supporting muscles. At the same time, it is a very gentle form of exercise which can be perfectly adjusted to the individual’s ability. It is therefore ideal training for the prevention of falls and is thus perfect for the elderly or for people with coordinative deficiencies.
The solid safety handles make it suitable for rehabilitation and for those who are unsure on their feet and afraid they might fall. Older people, who normally wouldn’t feel safe exercising, can now train their balancing skills. Disabled people can hold on to the handles and really enjoy the swing movement, something that is difficult for them to achieve with other forms of exercise.
The support handles can be delivered individually or as a pair, and are compatible with the diameter of the trampoline. Please be aware that it doesn’t make much sense to combine the support handles with folding legs, as they are attached to the legs and therefore would have to be detached before the legs could be folded. We therefore recommend the combination with screw on legs.
