The bellicon® mini-trampoline is a versatile training device that supports patients in regeneration and physiotherapy, regardless of the sport they practice. In my work as a sports physiotherapist, what stands out particularly is how early in therapy the bellicon® can already be used. Furthermore, it isn’t just good for one specific phase of rehab, but can be used to set treatment accents at any point in time.

Demanding training without overloading

Thanks to the elastic mat, the patient is challenged with every movement without their joints being overloaded. The coordination adjustment this requires is not only good training for the injury in question, such as one affecting the Achilles tendon, for example. It can also, for instance, allow athletes such as skiers to replicate the high coordinative demands of their discipline. In this way, they gently prepare their injured ligament or tendon for both the everyday and the exceptional demands of their sport.

The mat also facilitates cooperation between therapist and patient, because the patient themselves quickly notices when their movements become arrhythmic. The feedback from the mat means we can address this together more quickly.

Bouncing with motivation towards therapeutic success

And this – the big difference from other training devices – is that it’s actually fun for the patients. The bouncing has something calming, pleasant about it, and at the same time it still requires an enormously high level of muscle engagement. This combination of coordination, strength endurance, and fun makes a lot of things easier in my work.

The versatile regeneration options and the high fun factor together are of great value in therapy.
