Do you have arthritis or any other joint condition and you still want to start moving? Wise. But build up that physical activity slowly. Bouncing on the bellicon® is light and fun, but you can still feel some slight pains in the beginning. The principle rule is: if you still feel your muscles two hours after the workout, you have been a little too enthusiastic. In that case, take it a little easier next time. Or train for a shorter period of time.
It is also wise to stretch your muscles before and after exercise. Stretching and stretching exercises ensure that your muscles are better able to cope with the workout. And after the workout they recover faster.
When do you notice the effect?
Arthritis patients who start exercising will soon notice results. After only six weeks of training, the first effects can be demonstrated, as discovered by rheumatologist Dr. Ronenn Roubenoff. Two or three training sessions a week are sufficient for this.
How should you bounce?
To get used to the training on the bellicon®, it's wise to start with bouncing: stand with your feet on the mat and move up and down gently. This light training alone is enough to give your heart, lungs, muscles, and lymphatic system new energy. And you'll notice that it's no strain at all on your joints. Within a few weeks you will feel fitter and healthier. And most importantly: in the long run, the effects of your arthritis will also decrease!
For optimal training we recommend the bellicon® Classic , with a diameter of 100 cm. Do you have enough space? Then choose the 112 cm version. Then you have more room for your exercises, which is much more pleasant.
Will the bellicon® remain in one place? Choose screw legs. Do you want to store the trampoline easily? Then there is also a version available with folding legs.
Choose the colour of the bungees that you like or that fit into your interior.
The optimal bungee strength depends on your weight. With our configurator you can easily determine which strength is right for you. Choose 'health bounce' from the table if you would like the softest bungees. This is the least stressful for your joints. The mat is also a little more unstable, which also has an extra soft effect on the joints.
