We had our first snow in Chicago today and we've barely started raking leaves! So, FALL is officially OVER!
So here's a bellicon exercise for those of you training for the Winter Olympics: Imagine you are on skis and that you are gliding downhill. Bend your knees and crouch down slightly. Hold this position as you gently bounce. This is more challenging than you'd think! A lot of kinetic energy is being released – you can tell because you’ll warm up fast.
Alternate approach: Crouch down slightly and take turns pushing first one foot then the other into the mat. Pick up the pace and try to keep this up for 30 seconds. At the end you can simulate a mogul jump, landing with both feet on the mat! Take that, Winter!
