Close-chain rebounding, the perfect low impact training for your body

No doubt when you get close to a bellicon you cannot resist it: you need to jump! And like a kid you try to jump as high as you can. But, did you know you can get so many health benefits rebounding with your feet never leaving the bellicon mat?

Here at bellicon we call it “close-chain rebounding”, allowing for a low impact workout: feet stay on the mat and just the movement created by gravity provides so much good to your body.

Here a few of the benefits of a low impact workout:
 
For your back: Bouncing on the gentle, ultra-elastic bungees strengthens core muscles, lubricates your joints, and improves balance and coordination. It’s an all-in-one solution for keeping you active and fit by keeping your back strong and pain-free.
 
Stop or prevent Osteoporosis:  For bones to increase and maintain their density, they require the application of weight-bearing force. The best way to do this is to work against gravity. That makes rebounding the natural way to build bones.
When performed correctly, weight-bearing exercise puts just enough pressure on bones in order to stimulate them to produce new cells to replace old ones and absorb calcium, making them harder. This is exactly what happens on a bellicon® – without the hard jolt of landing on the ground.

For Osteoarthritis:  Osteoarthritis occurs when the protective cartilage that acts as a buffer between the ends of adjoining bones becomes inflamed and wears down over time. The resulting friction of bone on bone is what causes the aching discomfort.
