Carbs or no carbs?


Cutting carbs might sound a great idea for quick weight loss but if we want a sustainable weight loss strategy which includes also the right amount of exercise, than we might want to reconsider our carbs intake.
When we exercise we need fuel to burn: that can be produced by fats but also sugars.

And after exercising we can become a little peckish too! To satisfy our cravings in a healthy way try some home-made wholegrain, nut and fruit bars: here some ideas for you.

  • almond butter with goji berries, toasted almonds, flakes of coconut and some sesame seeds; the perfect sweet and salty combo.
  • or a more indulgent choice for peanut butter lovers: peanut butter, dry-roasted salted peanuts, mini marshmallows and a drizzle of bittersweet chocolate.
