Strengthening Back and Shoulders: Tips From Arnita Champion

Exercising your shoulder muscles, in particular your rotator cuff is extremely important to make sure you can keep the correct posture, especially when sitting.

Rotator cuff is a group of tendons and muscles in the shoulder, connecting the upper arm to the shoulder blade: the tendons provide stability to the shoulder while the muscles allow the shoulder to rotate.

In this short video Arnita Champion shows how to exercise the rotator cuff with a resistant band on the bellicon: she demonstrates simple but great workouts. Since in our day to day we hardly reach backward or all the way around with our arms, initially these exercises might hurt a little bit! But, like Arnita says…what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.
